This Bentley R-Type two-door Coupe is a one-off special order
Bentley that can be raced, shown or toured.
Different from the other 207 R-type Continental Coupes built from 1952-55,
this example (chassis # B77ZX) was a special fastback two-seater coupe
built to the special order of the late Robert (Bob) Gooda.
It features a louvered hood, custom competition wheels, rally lamps, red leather interior
and a set of white racing stripes leading over the British Racing Green bodywork
from the colour-keyed grille surround all the way to the elegantly sloping fastback tail.
The car is well known and featured in the Bentley Book
Fifty years of the Marque by Johnnie Greene.
The car has been fully restored and just in late 2000s,
completed the Colordao Grand 1000 mile tour.
R-Type Continental Coupes were powered by 4.6 L straight-6 engines that produced 130hp.
The vehicle runs very strong and holds the road like a sports car.
