1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic (Chassis 57374)

Only four Bugatti 57SC Atlantic were ever made, and only two or three of them are still around today.
One is owned by Ralph Lauren, and another belonged to the late Dr. Peter Williamson.
With its low stance, 200 bhp engine, lightweight construction, 123 mph (200 kph) top speed
and influential teardrop body, many believe this is the ultimate Bugatti and the first supercar ever made.
Ettore’s son, Jean Bugatti, who played a large role in the development of the
Type 57 series, personally styled the Atlantic. Jean’s lines draw an interesting mix of aircraft styling
together with the avant-garde tear-drop that is so reminiscent of the thirties.
Design highlights include a heavily raked windscreen, riveted fins,
and oval doors with kidney-shaped side windows.
In 2010, auction house Gooding & Company announced that the Williamson Bugatti
has changed hands for a record sum, reports place it between $30-40 million.
Dubbed "The World's Most Expensive Car".
According to reports, the car was acquired through Gooding
by the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California.

1930 Bugatti Type 46 Coupé Superprofilée

Nicknamed “La Petite Royale”, the Bugatti Type 46 Coupé Superprofilée was officially
released at the all-important Paris and London motor shows in 1929.
Designed by Ettore Bugatti’s son, Jean, who was a well-known car designer in his own right.
The stunning, aerodynamic coupés he designed featured beautifully raked windscreens
and notchback (Semi-Profilée) or ‘hunchback’ (Superprofilée) back ends.
This rare Type 46 Coupé Superprofilées is thought to be
one of the last examples of the model still roadworthy.
It was fitted with a 140hp, 5.3 litre straight-8 engine. 3 speed transmission.
With a wheelbase of 3.5 metres the Superprofilée wasn’t exactly a light-weight,
the car used a steel ladder-chassis and implemented the same
cable-operated brakes that Bugatti was famous for.
The car was sold for €672.000 ($897,000)  in a car auction in 2013.
