The Elite (1958-63) was the first production coupé from Lotus.
The most distinctive feature of this ultra-light two-seater coupé was its highly innovative fiberglass monocoque construction,
in which a stressed-skin unibody replaced the previously separate chassis and body components.
The very rare series 2 Super 95 model, distinguished by a silver coloured roof and Lucas PL700 headlamps,
is a higher performance variant, featuring twin SU carburettors and fabricated exhaust manifold resulting in 85 bhp, ZF gearboxes.
