2010 Jaguar C-X75 Concept

Hailed as the perfect model to celebrate Jaguar’s 75th anniversary in 2010. The Jaguar C-X75 was the classic concept car in both its head-turning design and technological innovation. It used an aluminium chassis, meaning overall the car weighs 1,350 kg. It was also an electric car with four motors driving each wheel. Tiny gas turbines as range extenders in place of traditional combustion engines. The turbines were linked to two generators and could either recharge the lithium ion batteries or drive the four electric motors. Later Jaguar decided to drop the concept project because of the financial restraints it was going through. (

One of the key mods is said to be the removal of the car’s complex hybrid system, with one of Jaguar’s venerable supercharged 5.0-liter V-8s being squeezed in instead. (
