Previewed as the 2012 Concept Style Coupe, the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, a front-engine, 5-passenger, compact four-door luxury sedan, was unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. The CLA 45 AMG is a current high-performance model of the CLA-Class from Mercedes-AMG. The car shares its drivetrain with the A 45 AMG, and it will include the 355-hp AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin-scroll turbocharged petrol engine. It is the most powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engine in series production anywhere in the world. The CLA 45 AMG also comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and standard all-wheel drive. EPA-rated mileage of 23/31 mpg city/highway. A Motor Trend-tested 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds. Inside is a sporty space decorated with aptly placed carbon-fiber trim on the dash (optional), MB-Tex faux leather, and standard power front seats that are highly capable body huggers.
