When Aston Martin was looking to replace the aging DB6,
they turned to coachbuilder Touring of Milan who had successfully styled previous
Aston Martin icons like the DB4 of 1959.
Two nearly identical prototypes were made, having steering on different sides.
Both were powered by a 365 bhp Vantage-spec engine and a ZF 5-Speed transmission.
Had the prototype been picked up for production, it would have been
the first two-seater from Aston Martin since the DB4GT in 1960.
One of the prototype was sold in a 2009 Bonhams auction for £320,500.
