2008 Spyker C12 Zagato

The 2006 Spyker C12 LaTurbie was be the first Spyker to run the extremely powerful 6.0 L Audi W12 dry sump aluminium engine. This car had a power output of 500 bhp and a gigantic torque of 600 NM. Top speed was 325 km/h or 202 mph with an acceleration of 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 3.9 seconds.

There are two variations of the La Turbie. A convertible model from 2006 called the C12 LaTurbie, and this coupe variation, the C12 Zagato. Although the nomenclature suggests otherwise, the C12 Zagato is not based upon the C12 LaTurbie prototype.

On March 6, 2007 the Spyker C12 Zagato was introduced at the Salon International de l'Auto in Geneva. The Milanese design house Zagato co-designed the model. The C12 Zagato featured all-new design elements inspired by Formula 1. Though the exterior styling is somewhat of a departure from the C8, retained features include: scissor doors, interior styling, and general aviation theme.

The C12 Zagato is powered by a 6.0 L W12 engine, the same engine as featured in the Audi A8. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, and then on to a top speed of 195 mph (313 km/h).

The Spyker C12 Zagato is priced at EUR 495,000 (approximately US$740,000 or £450,000), and Spyker planned to produce only 24 copies. (wikipedia)
