Under the collaboration of Italy's top engine tuner Carlo Abarth, and Carrozzeria Zagato, the Fiat Abarth 750 Zagato Coupe (1956-65) was one of the most successful rally racing cars of the 50s. It was the car that made Zagato's signature double-bubble roof famous. Estimated to be 600 made.
This later version called the Fiat Abarth 750 Record-Monza Zagato Coupe was created after the win at the Monza rally race in 1957. It was equipped with an even larger engine than it's predecessors. Abarth boosted the original Fiat 600 22 bhp four cylinder engine, through two Weber Carburetors, to produce 57 bhp at 7,000 RPM. Top speed was an unbelievable 121 mph. The difference is not only in the engine, the double-bubble "hump" at the back of the car is now modified to a single hump. (wikipedia)
