1974 Aston Martin Lagonda V8 Saloon (Series 1)
Technically similar the the two door V8 but with an extended wheelbase
to 2915mm and the overall length pushed to 4928mm.
Unfortunately the Middle East oil crisis and other economic problems
meant that the market for a 160 mph super saloon was small.
Only 7 of these cars were ever built.

Series 2 - 4 cars take on an entirely different wedge shape exterior.
This particular unit (chassis # 12003) was converted with particular emphasis on torque,
producing a substantial 550lb/ft and useful 480bhp against the estimated
350lb/ft and 320bhp of the 5.3-litre original.
It sold at Bonhams' Aston Martin and Related Automobilia auction
for £337,000 (approx $524,000) inclusive of Buyer's Premium in 2013. (supercars.net)
