1966 Lamborghini 400GT Flying Star II Prototype by Touring

Introduced at the 1966 Turin Motor Show, the Lamborghini 400GT Flying Star II Prototype was a potential 400 GT replacement. Unlike the 2+2 400 GT in production at the time, the Flying Star II was a pure two-seater, although the Shooting Brake could have easily accommodated a second row of seats. Powered by a four-litre V12 engine, breathing through six vertical Weber carburettors. This all aluminium engine produced around 320 bhp, which was transferred to the rear wheels through a five-speed gearbox. It would be the last design to come out of Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, before the company was revived in 2006. (Ultimatecarpage.com & Wikipedia)
