1964 Pontiac Banshee I Coupe & Roadster Concepts

The Pontiac Banshee is a line of concept cars designed by General Motors.
The Banshee I concept (the XP-833 Project) was built by
John DeLorean but never reached production.
Two functional cars were produced (built by an outside coach builder).
One was a hardtop powered by a 6 cylinder engine,
the other was a roadster with a V8 engine.
It was meant as a middle-model in-between Chevrolet's Corvette and Camaro.
Unfortunately, the bosses at GM thought the model was too similar to the Corvette
and canceled production plans. (carstyling.ru)
