2006 Volkswagen GX3 Concept

The GX3 was conceived by the Moonraker team and
VW's Design Center in California, exclusively with the U.S. in mind.
The GX3 would be driven by a VW 1.6 liter engine.
The four-cylinder delivers 92 kW / 125 hp. 0-62.5 mph (100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds.
It was considered a very unusual concept since it was three-wheeled and
sometimes considered more of a motorcycle concept than a concept car;
but it did feature great performance for a projected cost of only about US$17,000.
Later, the company cited possible safety issues that could lead to
product-liability lawsuits and decided that production as-is impossible.
