2013 Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept

As part of the centenary celebrations of the Aston Martin brand, the CC100 Speedster Concept debuted at Germany’s 24 Hours of Nurburgring race by completing a lap of the Nordschleife, alongside the 1000km race-winning 1959 DBR1 with British racing legend Sir Stirling Moss behind the wheel. The ultra-exclusive V12 Vantage-based two-seater sports car blends the classic styling of the legendary DBR1 sports racer with contemporary design themes. The design also features an open cockpit, with no doors or roof and hints at future design cues for Aston’s production models. The entire body and interior is crafted from carbonfibre – tooled and produced by specialist company Multimatic. It is powered by the latest-generation AM11 naturally aspirated V12 engine that will go from zero to 100km/h in just over four seconds, while the top speed is limited to 290km/h. One single example of the CC100 Speedster Concept has already been built and sold for an estimated price of between $770,000 and $1,540,000. (caradvice.com.au)
